The Alliance for Rights and Recovery is pleased to share a research opportunity led by Peggy Swarbrick, Ph.D., Associate Director of the Center of Alcohol & Substance Use Studies and Research Professor at Rutgers University.
Researchers are seeking participants to help validate a brief wellness assessment tool designed for use in academic, professional, and behavioral health settings. This study will help strengthen the quality and effectiveness of wellness measurement tools used in both research and practice.
Participation involves completing a confidential online survey that takes approximately 10–15 minutes. Compensation is available for eligible participants. The first 400 individuals who complete the initial survey will receive a $15 Visa electronic gift card. Participants who choose to complete a follow-up survey approximately 30 days later may also be eligible for an additional $15 gift card.
We encourage interested peer supporters, behavioral health professionals, students, faculty, staff, and organizational partners to consider participating and supporting this important wellness research effort.

Invitation to Participate in a Wellness Research Survey
You are invited to participate in a voluntary research study focused on validating a brief wellness assessment tool for use in academic and professional settings.
The purpose of this study is to examine the reliability and validity of an 18-item wellness survey. Participation will help strengthen the scientific quality of wellness assessment tools used in research and practice.
Eligibility:
You are eligible to participate if you are:
• 18 years of age or older, and
• Affiliated with a university or partner organization (e.g., faculty, staff, students, trainees, behavioral health professionals, peer supporters, or organizational partners)
What participation involves:
• Completing an online survey that takes approximately 10-15 minutes
• Participation is voluntary, and you may skip any question or stop at any time
• Survey responses will be kept confidential
• Participants will be asked to provide an email address separately for compensation distribution and optional follow-up contact
Compensation:
• Up to the first 400 participants who complete the initial survey (Time 1) will receive a $15.00 Visa electronic gift card
• Participants will also have the option to complete a follow-up survey approximately 30 days later
• The first 100 participants who complete the follow-up survey (Time 2) will receive an additional $15.00 Visa electronic gift card
Email addresses collected for compensation and follow-up purposes will be stored separately from survey responses and will not be linked to survey data used for analysis.
